ഡബ്ലിനിലെ സിറ്റി സെന്റർ പ്രീ പ്രൈമറി സ്കൂളിലുണ്ടായ കത്തി ആക്രമണത്തിൽ കുട്ടികളടക്കം അഞ്ച് പേർ ആശുപത്രിയിൽ

അയർലണ്ട് : അയർലണ്ട് തലസ്ഥാനമായ  ഡബ്ലിനിലെ സിറ്റി സെന്റർ  പ്രീ പ്രൈമറി സ്കൂളിലുണ്ടായ ആക്രമണത്തിൽ കുട്ടികളടക്കം അഞ്ച് പേർ ആശുപത്രിയിൽ. 

ഇന്ന് ഉച്ചയ്ക്ക് ഡബ്ലിൻ സിറ്റി സെന്ററിൽ ആക്രമണത്തിൽ കുത്തേറ്റ അഞ്ചുവയസ്സുള്ള കുട്ടിയും 30 വയസുള്ള സ്ത്രീയും ആശുപത്രിയിൽ ഗുരുതരാവസ്ഥയിലാണ്.  പരിക്കേറ്റ് ചികിത്സയിൽ കഴിയുന്ന മറ്റ് രണ്ട് കൊച്ചുകുട്ടികളും നിസ്സാര പരിക്കുകളോടെ ആശുപത്രിയിലാണ്.

ഉച്ചകഴിഞ്ഞ് പാർനെൽ സ്‌ക്വയർ ഈസ്റ്റിലെ ഒരു ക്രെഷിനു (പ്രീ പ്രൈമറി)  പുറത്ത് ഒരു കൂട്ടം കൊച്ചുകുട്ടികൾ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു . അവിടെ എത്തിയ ഒരാൾ കുട്ടികളെ കത്തികൊണ്ട് ആക്രമിച്ചു. ആക്രമണത്തിൽ അഞ്ച് വയസുകാരിക്ക് കുത്തേറ്റ് ഗുരുതരമായി പരിക്കേൽക്കുകയും മറ്റ് രണ്ട് കുട്ടികൾക്കും ആക്രമണത്തിൽ സാരമല്ലാത്ത  പരിക്കേൽക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു.

സെൻട്രൽ ഡബ്ലിനിലെ ഒരു സ്‌കൂളിന് സമീപം മൂന്ന് കുട്ടികളെയും രണ്ട് മുതിർന്നവരെയും കുത്തിയ കേസിൽ 40 വയസ് പ്രായമുള്ള ഇയാളെ ആശുപത്രിയിൽ എത്തിക്കുന്നതിന് മുമ്പ് ഗാർഡ സംഭവസ്ഥലത്ത് വെച്ച് അറസ്റ്റ് ചെയ്തു. 

അയർലണ്ടിന്റെ തലസ്ഥാനത്തെ തിരക്കേറിയ ഭാഗമായ പാർനെൽ സ്‌ക്വയർ ഈസ്റ്റിലെ പ്രൈമറി സ്‌കൂളായ Gaelscoil Choliiste Mhuire ന് സമീപം ഇന്ന് വ്യാഴാഴ്ച ഉച്ചയ്ക്ക് 1.30 മണിയോടെയാണ് സംഭവം.

മൂന്ന് കൊച്ചുകുട്ടികളെയും ഒരു പുരുഷനെയും ഒരു സ്ത്രീയെയും ആശുപത്രിയിൽ പ്രവേശിപ്പിച്ചു, കുട്ടികളിൽ ഒരാൾ, ഒരു പെൺകുട്ടി, സ്ത്രീ എന്നിവർക്ക് ഗുരുതരമായി പരിക്കേറ്റതായി ആർടിഇ റിപ്പോർട്ട് ചെയ്തു. പോലീസ് ഒരു പ്രതിയെ കസ്റ്റഡിയിലെടുത്തിട്ടുണ്ട്, കൂടാതെ ഒരു വലിയ കത്തി കണ്ടെടുത്തു.

ക്രെഷിൽ ജോലി ചെയ്യുകയും കുട്ടികളെ പരിചരിക്കുകയും ചെയ്ത സ്ത്രീ ആണ് കുത്തേറ്റ് ഗുരുതരമായി പരിക്കേറ്റവരിൽ ഒരാൾ. ഗാർഡയും എമർജൻസി സർവീസുകളും എത്തുന്നതുവരെ ആളെ സംഭവസ്ഥലത്ത് തടഞ്ഞുവച്ചു.

സഹായത്തിനായി അടുത്തുള്ള റോട്ടണ്ട ആശുപത്രിയിൽ നിന്ന് മെഡിക്കൽ സ്റ്റാഫ് ഓടിയെത്തി. കുട്ടികളെ ക്രംലിൻ, ടെമ്പിൾ സ്ട്രീറ്റ് ആശുപത്രികളിലേക്ക് മാറ്റി. യുവതിയെ മേറ്റർ ആശുപത്രിയിൽ പ്രവേശിപ്പിച്ചു. ഗാർഡ കുട്ടികളുടെ മാതാപിതാക്കളുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ടു. ഗുരുതരമായി പരിക്കേറ്റ അഞ്ച് വയസ്സുള്ള കുട്ടിയും സ്ത്രീയും ഇപ്പോൾ ശസ്ത്രക്രിയയ്ക്ക് വിധേയരായി.

Statement from the Gardaí just now regarding the attack in Parnell Square, Dublin. Note: - They declined to say whether the attacker knew any of the victims - When asked if the attacker was an Irish national, they declined to comment - They said that while it's still early days and they are "open minded" as they look into motive, they do not believe the motive was terror-related Here is the statement: "Update 2: Serious Incident, Parnell Square East, Dublin 1, 23rd November 2023 An Garda Síochána continue to investigate all the circumstances of a serious assault which occurred on Parnell Square East, shortly after 1.30pm this afternoon Thursday, 23rd November 2023. Preliminary indications are that a male attacked a number of people on Parnell Square East. Five (5) casualties have been taken to hospitals in the Dublin Region. These casualties include three (3) young children, an adult female and an adult male. One girl, age 5 years, has sustained serious injuries and is currently receiving emergency medical treatment in CHI Temple Street. A boy, age 5 years and a girl age 6 years, who received less serious injuries were brought to CHI Crumlin for treatment. The boy has since been discharged from CHI Crumlin. An Garda Síochána is providing support to the parents of all the children. The adult female, in her 30s, is being treated for serious injuries at the Mater Hospital. An adult male, in his 50s, is also being treated for serious injuries at a Hospital in the Dublin Region. The scene remains sealed off at this time and a technical examination of the scene is ongoing. An incident room has been established at Mountjoy Garda Station and a Senior Investigating Officer has been appointed. An Garda Síochána is following a definite line of Inquiry. This male, in his 50s, is a person of interest to An Garda Síochána in this investigation. An Garda Síochána is not looking for any other person at this time. An Garda Síochána continues to have an open mind at this early stage of the investigation. An Garda Síochána is appealing to any person with any information on this attack to contact investigating Gardaí. Investigating Gardaí are also appealing to any person who may have mobile phone footage of the attack or the immediate aftermath to make this footage available to An Garda Síochána.
