The nurse on duty is responsible for delivering the highest level of care to all residents at all times. Duties and responsibilities include;
- Ordering, administering, monitoring and recording of medications
- Liaising with residents, families, GPs and other care providers to ensure the appropriate level of care is made available to residents
- Ensuring all care practices are carried out in accordance with NMBI, HIQA and other regulatory requirements
- As the shift manager you will be part of a team, helping promote great working conditions, colleague relations and resident care in an energetic and caring manner
Candidates must have current NMBI registration. Additional requirements include;
- Minimum of 1 year experience post grad nursing experience, however graduates will be considered as well
- Ideally previous experience in Care of the elderly
- Understanding and knowledge of HIQA regulations and standards desirable
- Very good communication skills and very good level of English language
- As we are not on the public transport route your own transport is essential
- Ideally the right candidate would be available to start on February 22nd
- As we are not on the public transport route, all applications must have their own transport
