Important Information: This is remote based role and the start date for this role is 10th October 2022. We require your availability for 9 weeks of paid training from the start date.
What will you do?
We are passionate about creating experiences our customers love! Our Trust or Member to Member (M2M) team is a part of Global Customer Experience, supporting eBay's buyers and sellers across the globe. We review customer concerns and appeals, providing mediation and conflict resolution to eBay members.
In your role you will:
Provide conflict resolution support to passionate eBay members
Act as mediator between buyers and sellers, using step-based resolutions, that are not conclusive on every call.
Provide policy-based resolutions on disputes including items not received or as described, damaged returns, or where buyers cannot get their money back.
Review appeals where sellers or buyers are appealing eBay case decision.
Make decisions that will negatively impact one party. These decisions have financial impact to customer or eBay
Build trust, educate, and create great experience despite delivering difficult messages
Take appropriate action for eBay to ensure a safe and compliant trading platform for our community
Excel at learning through our training programs and self-learning to keep growing your skills & knowledge
Adhere to your daily schedule, tasks and goals, supported by your team leader and coach
Who you are?
Located in Carlow, Cavan, Clare, Cork, Donegal, Dublin, Galway, Kerry, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Leitrim, Limerick, Longford, Louth, Mayo, Meath, Monaghan, Offaly, Roscommon, Sligo, Tipperary, Waterford, Westmeath, Wexford or Wicklow
Able to deal withconflict, and guide parties through the steps towards resolution
Assertive, with the ability tosay “No” and deliver a difficult message with confidence
You have a strong ability to evaluate cases from a business perspective
Great communicator, with high level of empathy and emotional intelligence
Self-aware, understanding voice tone control and its impact on how customers feel, can adapt to different customers & cultures
You are resilient, able to handle stress andbe productiveunder pressure
A learner, always growing and open to feedback
You enjoy taking ownership and control, and driving resolution
Driven and motivated to achieve targets and meet your metrics
Motivated and disciplined while working from home
Strong PC skills, can operate Windows and troubleshoot a PC, tablet or mobile phone
Other requirements
Resident of Republic of Ireland
Eligible to work full time in Republic of Ireland
Available for shift work (e.g., early mornings, late evenings and weekends)
Home Office Requirements
eBay will provide you with a dedicated business internet connection, through our preferred 3rd party supplier. The connection will be installed free of charge, directly in your Home Office, on completion of Probation. Every new hire must meet our qualification criteria for our preferred 3rd party supplier.
During your probation period, you will be required to use your own internet provider. Prior to installing eBay's dedicated business internet connection, eBay will reimburse you for the use of your internet service. Your internet service must meet the following criteria:
High speed wired Internet service e.g. Fibre to the Cabinet, Fibre to the Home or Cable Internet. Lower speed wired service such as DSL and wireless services e.g. WiMAX, Satellite, Mobile are not permitted
Your internet connection must meet the minimum download speed of 10 Mbps and upload speed of 4 Mbps
An Ethernet cable connected from your Internet Modem to your Home Office, so you can connect the eBay computer to the Internet
