ഒമൈക്രോൺ വേരിയന്റിന്റെ ആവിർഭാവത്തെത്തുടർന്ന് "ഉയർന്ന അപകടസാധ്യത" എന്ന് തരംതിരിക്കുന്ന ഏഴ് രാജ്യങ്ങളിലെ യാത്രാ നിയന്ത്രണങ്ങൾ സർക്കാർ നീക്കി.
Since 29 November 2021, international arrivals to Ireland with a travel history in 1 of 7 high-risk countries – Botswana, Eswatini, Lesotho, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, and Zimbabwe – were required to present a negative pre-departure COVID-19 test prior to arrival in Ireland and to complete post arrival testing and home quarantine.
Since 22 December 2021, the enhanced restrictions of 7 high-risk ‘scheduled’ states are lifted. Travellers arriving from all overseas countries will be subject to the same restrictions upon arrival to Ireland.

എല്ലാ യാത്രക്കാരും ഇപ്പോൾ ഒരേ പ്രവേശന ആവശ്യകതകൾക്ക് വിധേയരാണെന്നാണ് ഈ മാറ്റം അർത്ഥമാക്കുന്നത്. വിദേശത്ത് നിന്ന് അയർലണ്ടിലേക്ക് വരുന്ന യാത്രക്കാർക്ക് ഹോം ക്വാറന്റൈൻ ആവശ്യമില്ല.
നിലവിൽ, സംസ്ഥാനത്ത് പ്രവേശിക്കുന്ന ഏതൊരാളും എത്തിച്ചേരുന്നതിന് 48 മണിക്കൂർ മുമ്പ് പ്രൊഫഷണലായി നൽകുന്ന ആന്റിജൻ പരിശോധനയിലോ എത്തിച്ചേരുന്നതിന് 72 മണിക്കൂർ മുമ്പ് പിസിആർ പരിശോധനയിലോ നെഗറ്റീവ് ഫലം കാണിക്കേണ്ടതുണ്ട്.
പറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്ന പ്രകാരം പരിശോധന, ക്വാറന്റൈൻ ആവശ്യകതകൾ പാലിക്കാത്തത് കുറ്റകരമാണ്. കുറ്റങ്ങൾക്ക് പിഴയോ തടവോ അല്ലെങ്കിൽ രണ്ടും കൂടിയോ ശിക്ഷ ലഭിക്കാം.
ആവശ്യമായ നെഗറ്റീവ് പ്രീ-ഡിപ്പാർച്ചർ ടെസ്റ്റ് റിസൾട്ട് ഇല്ലാതെ അയർലണ്ടിലേക്ക് എത്തുന്ന ഒരു യാത്രക്കാരൻ ഇതിനകം ഒരു കുറ്റം ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു, പൊതുജനാരോഗ്യത്തിന്റെ താൽപ്പര്യങ്ങൾ മുൻനിർത്തി അവിടെ എത്തിയതിന് ശേഷം 36 മണിക്കൂറിനുള്ളിൽ ഹോം ക്വാറന്റൈനിൽ പോകുകയും RT-PCR ടെസ്റ്റ് നടത്തുകയും വേണം. ആർ‌ടി-പിസിആർ ടെസ്റ്റ് നടത്തിയില്ലെങ്കിൽ, വന്നതിന് ശേഷം യാത്രക്കാരൻ 10 ദിവസം ഹോം ക്വാറന്റൈനിൽ കഴിയണം.
സംസ്ഥാനത്തേക്കുള്ള യാത്രാ ആവശ്യകതകൾ ഭേദഗതി ചെയ്യുന്ന ചട്ടങ്ങളിൽ ഒപ്പുവച്ചതായി ആരോഗ്യമന്ത്രി സ്റ്റീഫൻ ഡോണലി ബുധനാഴ്ച സ്ഥിരീകരിച്ചു.
നവംബർ 29 മുതൽ ഈ നിയമങ്ങൾ നിലവിലുണ്ട്, ബോട്സ്വാന, ഈശ്വതിനി, ലെസോത്തോ, മൊസാംബിക്, നമീബിയ, ദക്ഷിണാഫ്രിക്ക, സിംബാബ്‌വെ എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിൽ നിന്ന് അയർലണ്ടിലേക്ക് പ്രവേശിക്കുന്ന അന്താരാഷ്ട്ര യാത്രക്കാർക്ക് ഇത് ബാധകമാണ്.
