Due to the cyber attack on all HSE IT systems UHK are requesting that you only attend our Emergency Department in an emergency.

Outpatient Clinics (including Radiology and Cardiology) are cancelled for Monday, 17th May 2021 unless you are notified directly by UHK.
We will continue to update the public as the situation develops.

Cavan

Cavan General Hospital

Emergency and essential Inpatient, day care, and outpatient services are currently operating as normal.

Most services will continue as scheduled on Monday 17 May.

Outpatient in diagnostic imaging will not go ahead. Appointments for these patients will be rescheduled.

If you have an appointment on Monday 17 or Tuesday 18 May that needs to be rescheduled, the hospital will contact you directly.

You do not need to contact your hospital.

Outpatient appointments and elective procedures will go ahead as scheduled in the majority of cases on Monday, 17 May.

Please attend for your appointment or procedure unless contacted directly by the hospital and told otherwise.

The Injury Unit at Ennis Hospital continues to operate from 8am to 8pm 7 days per week. But, delays are expected due to the ransomware attack.

St John’s Hospital

Outpatient appointments and elective procedures will go ahead as scheduled in the majority of cases on Monday, May 17. Patients are advised to attend for their appointment or procedure unless contacted directly by the hospital and advised otherwise.

The Injury Unit at St John’s Hospital continues to operate from 8am to 7pm 7 days per week. But delays are expected due to the ransomware attack.
