Nurse Registration and Tracking System (NRTS) Q1 What is NUID?
Ans. NUID is a Nurse Unique Identity Number which is verifiable and identifiable across the country.
Q2 Is Enrolment under NRTS a registration?
Ans. The enrolment under NRTS is neither license nor registration given by INC. INC is only facilitating the State Nursing Registration Councils (SNRCs) to come on to single integrated portal to achieve Live Register of Nurses. INC does not give license to a nurse to practice. It is responsibility of SNRCs.
Q3 Whether the present system of registration under State Nursing Registeration Councils is different from NRTS.
Ans. No, the registration process under NRTS is the same as the present registration process done in SNRCs. The only difference is present practice being done in the SNRC’s will be migrated to NRTS. But the registration shall be done by SNRCs only and not by INC. It is legal role of SNRCs to register and give license to Nurses to practice in the state. So, RN/ RM, number from SNRCs is the legal license to practice. In addition to RN/RM numbers each nurse who registers/also gets NUID automatically in NRTS.
Q4 Is enrolment under NRTS legal License to practice?
Ans. No
Q5 Is there is any change in the Renewal of License?
Ans. No, the renewal license shall be done by the respective State Nursing Registration Councils as is being done presently. Renewal of license also is the responsibility of respective State Nursing Registration Council and not with INC.
Q6 Who will be doing Foreign Degree Nurse Verification?
Ans. Foreign Nursing Education Registration shall be done only by respective State Nursing Registration Councils on receipt of Equivalency granted by INC.
Q7 Is NUID linked with employment in government/ private sector?
Ans. The Aim of NUID is only to have a Live Active Register of Nurses. It is not linked with employment in government or private sector in any way as of now.
Q8 Ease of Reciprocal Registration?
Ans. NRTS will ease the Reciprocal Registration. Candidates who have NUID can only take the advantage. Candidate shall apply online to the SNRCs where they have to get NOC. Concerned SNRCs shall issues NOC online to the Registrar of SNRCs where the candidate interested to Register will be registered with the biometric verification. The whole process shall take one week if all the concerned take action in timely manner.

SUB: ONLINE ENROLMENT UNDER NURSES REGISTRATXON & TRACKING SYSTEM
The immediate attention of those nurses who have not yet enrolled in the Nurses
Registration & fracking System (NIRTS) are invited to enroll themselves online on
priority through the portal https://nrts.indiannursingcouncil.gov.in/login.nic in Free of cost on or
before 31.12.2020
The self enrolled (through online) candidates will receive SMS to visit their respective
State Nursing Council in order to complete the process of Aadhar authentication and
photo capturing. If any clarification/ errors are encountered with respect to NRTS, nurses
are requested to submit the same by clicking on the button "HELPDESK".
Further, all the nurses are requested to provide the correct email ids and mobile numbers,
as Indian Nursing Council shall share the information such as any new programme,
incentives, Govt. Schemes / Services with regard to Ministry of Health & Family Welfare
(MoHFW) for Nursing Professionals through emails to all Enrolled Nurses under Nurses
Registration & Tracking System (NRTS) and any update on Nursing education to
Teaching faculty.

The immediate attention of those nurses who have registered (self) in the Nurses Registration & Tracking System (NRTS) at nrts.indiannursingcouncil.gov.in is invited that, their Aadhar based biometric authentication will be done at respective State Nursing Councils. For this State Nursing Councils need to be contacted for a prior appointment. Till the appointment is taken, No Nurse should directly visit State Nursing Council for this purpose. Objectives of Nurses Registration & Tracking System

6 Uniform issuance of Nurse Passbook comprising of complete history of Nurse Midwifery.
7 Renewal of license once in five years linked with 150 hours of Continuing Nursing Education (CNE)
When the nurse fills the Nurse Details Form and gets it approved by all the officers, a
NUID card will be dispatched.
There are two main ways to register.
a) Individual:
You can logon to the given website http://nrts.indiannursingcouncil.gov.in and
fill the nurse registration form and then approach the P.N.R.C for authenticating
biometric data and performing certificate verification that can only be done at
P.N.R.C.
Or
b) Agency:
You can go to the district camp place directly along with the Nursing academic
certificates and experience certificate then the candidates are not required to visit
P.N.R.C for authenticating biometric data and performing certificate verification.
Instruction related to NUID
1. This is mandatory for all registered Nurses (ANM, GNM, B.Sc 
whether they are working or pursuing post Basic B.Sc(N) or M.Sc Nursing.
It is also mandatory for nurses working in foreign countries to enrol
themselves for NUID.
2. The registered centers will operate at each and every district. Kindly visit
P.N.R.C. website time to time for further Schedule.
3. Candidates are requested to register themselves in their district camp,
where they are working or studying, instead of moving to other districts
camp for registration.
4. Candidates who have already registered online for NUID, they will be called at P.N.R.C shortly.
