UCC delighted to announce that there will be 25 funded places (covering 90-100% of tuition fees) for students on UCC’s Postgraduate Certificate - Gerontological Nursing programme (30 credits) and there are up to 200-250 places on short, modular CPD courses. These funded places have been made possible under the HEA & Government of Ireland (July Stimulus Package) Postgraduate Skills Provision as announced by the Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science on 27/10/20. These places represent a new route into lifelong learning, and provide upskilling and reskilling opportunities for those who need it, while ensuring that nurses are ready for the labour market.

Programme orientation will be online on the 14th December 2020. The first module is NU6078 Ageing and Older People: Comprehensive Assessment and Management (10 credits) commences on the 18th January 2021. The programme will use a blended delivery format using the online platform Canvas and a very limited number of sessions on site in UCC, thus making the programme easily accessible from anywhere in Ireland. Funded places on CPD modules at the School of Nursing and Midwifery
The School of Nursing and Midwifery, UCC are offering over 250 free or heavily-subsidised places on 10 credit CPD Modules to those seeking to upskill or reskill under the Government's new Postgraduate Skills Provision initiative. Fees are subsidised by 90-100%.
